Throwback Thursday to my time serving as the Legislative Chair for Stillwater Elementary PTSA — an experience that deepened my commitment to advocacy for kids, schools, and our community.
Each month, I worked to keep our membership informed on key legislative actions at the regional, state, and national levels. I provided regular updates at board and general meetings, tracked emerging issues, and shared how they could impact our students and families.
From attending Fall Legislative Assembly to Focus Day, I had the privilege of representing our PTSA and ensuring our voices were heard.
It was a role rooted in collaboration and community — and it gave me a front-row seat to how policy shapes opportunity.
I’m grateful for the experience and the dedicated volunteers who worked alongside me to advocate for what matters most: our kids. It was an incredible honor to receive the PTSA Advocacy Award during my time in this role.
