Throwback Thursday to my time at Duvall Cooperative Preschool!
From 2013 to 2017, I had the honor of serving as Board Secretary and then President for Duvall Cooperative Preschool—a place known to us as the little blue school, that holds a special place in my heart. What started as a preschool experience for my own kids quickly turned into a meaningful opportunity to serve the families of our community.
During those four years, I led board meetings, managed nonprofit operations, and worked to grow our community engagement—developing outreach materials, boosting our online presence, and building connections with local families.
This role taught me so much about collaborative leadership, community engagement, and the power of showing up for one another. It also deepened my belief that when we invest in our youngest learners and support families from the start, we strengthen the future of our whole community.
Grateful for the people, the memories, and the chance to lead with both heart and purpose.
